During the GAP fire here in Santa Barbara I took a small crew out to investigate and discovered a story that was not being told. I found out that the majority of firefighters putting their lives on the line for us are prison inmates.
The project was posted and aired on current tv, with great positive response.
This was an awesome experience and I look forward to more investigative journalism in the future. I am hoping to someday have a chance to folllow up on this story, if you are interested, please drop me a line.
